Give it up. All your journalist screed you post and try to defend has

Hey, I like the new spelling. Do you know who the "real" Kanzi is? Of
course you don't because you know no science. But I think it fits you

Because you and your conjoined sock harp about it nonstop. The energy it
takes you to post this crap, and the energy it takes others to respond to
it, is actually exacerbating the perceived "global warming" problem...

Ah, but the GWP (Global Warming Potential) of his flatulent is such as to
make matters far worse. That methane is 28-36 times worse than CO2 and lasts
for decades longer in the atmosphere.

Nope, the only real long term solution is for him to simply kill himself.
The longer he waits the worse it will be on global warming.

If he's that concerned then he should do it for humanity. If that's not good
enough, then he needs to kill himself for the children.

I offset my carbon use in various ways and Nadegda's on solar. Try again.

Solar?

You mean the means that results in massive amounts of CO2 from the coal
being burned to produce the electricity needed to make the panel?

The heavy metal pollution from the chemicals used in processing which will
contaminate the air, water and soil?

That over it's average life span it almost certainly won't produce as much
useable and used real world electricity as was consumed to produced it in
the first place?

That even if it does manage to reach a net positive energy that won't begin
to offset the fact that all the pollution 'saved' over that life span of the
panel would instead be condensed and released in a matter of days instead of
decades?

That China which produces virtually every solar cell in use is one of the
biggest polluters with the least pollution protections on the planet?

So much for claiming you're offsetting your carbon use.....instead you just
massively increased your carbon footprint for the next 20 years....at least.

I always laugh when someone tells me how they are greener because they use
solar......shows how little they really know.

Tell you what, if you REALLY want to make a difference...... INSULATION.
Preferably close packed cellulose. One, you massively cut your energy use
which means far less carbon emissions ,and further you are putting into long
term storage lots of carbon. It will save you more energy than a roof top of
solar panels, and with only a fraction of the pollution to do this.

Oh, but that's right, that's not consider "green enough" for those harping
about the saving the environment/climate/ or whatever the cause is this
week.

Any energy can be used to make the panel, including wind and more solar,
k0Ok.

Wrong. Modern solar panels have an EROI in the teens. Which means they
return over ten times the energy that was consumed to produce them in
the first place.

A concentrated problem is easier to deal with. Electric cars replace
thousands of tiny tailpipes with one big smokestack, and CCS can be used
there much more easily, or that smokestack replaced with a solar panel.
A solid lump of lead can be sealed in wax or something and buried
somewhere geologically stable, or even just reused, whereas the same
mass as lead dust dispersed over a huge area is a huge problem. And so
forth.

How do you know she isn't doing that too?

Fact - China is using Coal energy to make solar panels

wrong, and lies.

lead ? you thinking old school lead acid batteries ? ha!

panels in the teens have poisonous cadmium in them

your shoot from the hip does not capture the lifetime costs.

install cost is equal to cost of solar panels, so double the cost.
majority of home solar panels are required to lay flat on the roof by
code, which means on average they can only generate only 35% as much as
they could.

if you take a sun tracking panel as 100% energy collection, a non
tracking panel is only 50% of that, and a flat roof installation is
almost at a flatter angle and not on a north south line, so another
collection loss 20% for 40%. then subtract out dirty panel surface and
you get to about 35%. so increase size of array by about 3 and add in 3
times the cost

then the electronics
then the lifetime seal of the solar panel is demonstrated about 7 to 10
years
then the US Gov states max lifetime of panels is 30 years max
then the batteries, or you go to grid.

etc.

all this is very well know data.

And totally verified by those of us stupid enough to have tried all the
ignorant green "solar" talk. It's true things are slowly improving but
nearly enough to realize "kanzi"-Nads fantasy wet dreams. They think
that all they have to do is say the words "solar" and "wind" and all
their fantasies are suddenly true. They are just insane kooks if not
outright crooks.
