Actually, Sam, all (3) of the Belt Stars, Alnilam, Alnitak, and Mintaka, are at least double stars. For me, Zeta Orionis (Alnilam) is the most interesting, because it is a triple star and is immediately adjacent to the Flame Nebula (aka Tank Track Nebula), a wondrous sight in a telescope of almost any size. \Paul A

The belt of Orion is visible from almost any location on Earth that is not downtown in a major city, assuming the weather is clear, these are bright stars. Personally, I travel a modest distance every new-moon weekend to avoid light of any kind, and successfully enjoy the night sky at every opportunity... it's what I do, it's my hobby and passion. Light pollution is definitely getting worse every year, in most locations, but here in the American west there are still many, many place that have reasonably dark skies and are reasonably accessible. In this respect I am very lucky indeed. YMMV.

There you can see the fuzzy Orion Nebula even with the naked eye. Double-A
