Nonsense. Off the shelf transformers have typical efficiencies of about 985, so no gain there. Frequency response is a red herring for power systems. Requiring a specialized material for the core is likely to make the transformers more expensive, not cheaper. The size and weight of transformers is a tiny fraction of the total size and weight of an energy collection, storage and power conversion system. The size of a power transformer is dominated by the wire size needed to handle the applied voltage and current. If the location is that remote, it is unlikely that there will be roads to tow in a trailer. -- Jim Pennino
