Unification of conics with polyhedra//Coordinate System from Ln function

Alright, the above was yesterday, and today I made more progress.

If we take a Square of 5 points

p            p

       p

p            p

We can consider that a circle of 5 points with center

So we see a duality here of square and circle of just their 5 points.

Now if we rotate or spin the square we have more points of the circle

Now consider a rectangle, and what is it the Dual thereof?

p                                 p

                  p

p                                 p

Well, it looks like the dual of the Ellipse. For if we consider the ellipse of the four outer points and then a larger rectangle we have the midpoints of the sides of the larger rectangle as points of the ellipse.

So that if we had a circle boxed in -- in between a small square and a larger square-- one inscribed one circumscribed we have 8 points of the circle (not counting the center)

We call that a dual-- circle to square duality

We can do the same with ellipse and so the rectangle is the dual of the ellipse.

Now what about a parabola?

Same sort of technique-- inscribe and circumscribe. Looks like a type of triangle

How about a oval? Remember, ovals are only from conic sections. And it appears that some 4 sided figure like a trapezoid is inscribing and circumscribing.

So where this is going is the idea that all curved figures have a Dual straightline figure. Once all those duals are established we take a Projective Geometry image of the vertices of the Regular Polyhedra plus Pyramid and correlate what polyhedra is dual to what Conic-Cylinder Section.

Lastly we draw a Coordinate System of the joining together of e^x function with Ln function and mark the two axes in equally space integers. If we plot a circle it should be a square. If we plot a square it should end up being a circle.

1st ed. Teaching True Mathematics 2018 Re: Unification of conics with polyhedra//Coordinate System from Ln function//

So, now, I have sort of like a vacation for the next several weeks until January 2018 rolls in.

When I stopped posting with the Correcting Math Texts of 5th edition, I stopped in April 2017 and when I stopped I remarked that I would not come back for a 6th edition until I had this Conic to Polyhedra Unification. Looks like that is coming all true and faster than expected.

I of course, spent the rest of the year from April to December 2017 in completing the 8th edition of Atom Totality-- and what a breath taking work that was, for I discovered the Real Electron is the muon at 105 MeV and the Real Proton was 840 MeV and that leaves the particle with .5 MeV as the magnetic monopole of physics, the particle Dirac was chasing for all his life and which is the current in electricity. The .5MeV particle is a charged photon or neutrino.

So that was a colossal adventure that ended in huge magnificent discovery, a discovery that changes all sciences, even social sciences, and even mathematics for the muon = Real Electron follows the theory 9 and the octet rule which is mathematics.

But now that the Atom Totality book 8th edition is complete, I turn my attention to the Math book. And instead of calling it Correcting Math 6th edition, I believe a new title is in order, because, well, I corrected so much mathematics of huge important mathematics, that it no longer should be called Correcting Math but more apt, replacing all of Old Math. Hardly any subject of Old Math is unblighted undiseased of error. So it no longer is a textbook of Corrections but an outright replacement.

So the title, I am thinking, is that of TEACHING TRUE MATHEMATICS. A school textbook to be used from Grade School throughout High School and throughout College. One textbook for an entire life in education. No more of this buying a textbook for each grade level, or a new textbook for different topics-- probability, calculus, geometry, etc.

So a student in Grade School, once he/she has the textbook, can keep it throughout all their education in school and where every math class is using that singular textbook.

The way I have designed the book, is to allow teachers to fill in blanks in the textbook to personalize and make specific their math topics.

But this textbook is the backbone of their math education.

One of the reasons mathematics, modern math is so much phony baloney, is that it allowed kooks from all different topics to infiltrate their phony math and make that phony math main stream. So we have today-- creep math of fractals, we have creep math of Limits, creep math of NonEuclidean Geometry -- creep math of surreal numbers and irrationals and transcendental numbers -- creep math of sinusoid waves, etc etc. When you let loons and goons infiltrate mathematics, you end up with trash, not math.

So the title has to reflect the fact that every math textbook on the market today is flawed and not worth using.

So, a title such as

TEACHING TRUE MATHEMATICS is what I am looking for.

It raises the issue that other math books are so grossly flawed and not worth using in teaching. Which is true, they do more harm than good.

So, come January 2018 starts the 1st edition of TEACHING TRUE MATHEMATICS

rectangle dual ellipse dual octahedron//dodecahedron dual oval//icosahedron dual hyperbola//TEACHING TRUE MATHEMATICS//Merry Plutonium Day

Alright, today is Plutonium Day, Dec14, 2017. In a year, the two most important holidays are 7 Nov when the Plutonium Atom Totality was discovered 1990 and then 14 Dec when the chemical element plutonium was discovered in 1940. They are 50 years apart, and I was borne in 1950.

I like to celebrate the two holidays by sleeping in as long as I can, sleep, sleep, sleep. For when you live long enough, you slowly but gradually find that sleep is the best part of life. Not eating, not drinking, not loving, but sleeping. Sleep is the reward of life. I forgotten what movie it was (Solaris?) where the oceans affect life in a sci-fi movie, but the scenes where the actor is just sleep sleep sleep. Try that on Hollywood that can never do away with their obnoxious car races, (oh no, for god sakes, not another car chase).

Anyway, well, last night I watched a beautiful NATURE show on the Soul of the Elephant. I never knew they lived so close to water, in Botswana. A brilliant and beautiful glimpse into elephant life.

Now, I am looking on how to save the polar bear, and found out that only mothers with cubs hibernate, and they can do it on a ice pack with no land underneath. I still think it is worth a try to relocate a colony in South Pole, although heavily monitored and if too much disturbance an evacuation. We have to give it our utmost try to save each and every species like that.

Of course, if our politicians were as keen on Human Overpopulation and get the population back down to 2 billion humans and no more, then species extinction would not be so troubling, for there would not be species extinction. That is why I ask for every scientist no matter what science field-- in your own mind, what is the optimal human population, and as a scientist, try your hardest to see that the world moves into that direction.

Now this year I have much much to be thankful for, much, and largest of these thanks is the discovery that the Real Electron is the muon, that 105 MeV particle and the tiny .5MeV particle is Dirac's magnetic monopole. The monopole is electricity and current flow. That is a huge discovery for it alters every science there is, especially chemistry, and chemistry is All Matter. So I have a lot to be thankful for this year, and 2017 will be a year I will never forget, because of that discovery.

But let me continue for I made several mistakes on the Conic-Polyhedra Unification.

I said that the means of unification is the geometry of discrete points, such as vertices. If you look at these sections and polyhedra as continuum, you get nowhere, you fail. So you have to look at them in terms of a finite number of points. And you have to do a Projective Geometry on them since one class is 3rd D and the other is 2nd D.

Now the Conic-Cylinder Sections are 6

1) circle
2) ellipse
3) oval
4) parabola
5) hyperbola
6) two intersecting straightlines

The Regular Polyhedra are 6 (once we include the pyramid)

1) tetrahedron
2) pyramid
3) cube
4) octahedron
5) dodecahedron
6) icosahedron

So the dual of rectangle is ellipse and what polyhedra is both inscribed and circumscribed? It is the octahedron. The cube is naturally the circle dual as inscribed and circumscribed by sphere.

So, the tough one is two intersecting straightlines and that is the tetrahedron where if we imagine the 4 vertices as points of light, and now place the tetrahedron into a dark room where only you see the lights of 4 vertices and what you see is the outline of two intersecting lines.

So we can now link all 6 conics with 6 polyhedra as such

1) cube dual to circle
2) octahedron dual to ellipse
3) tetrahedron dual two intersecting straightline segments
4) pyramid dual to parabola
5) icosahedron dual to hyperbola
6) dodecahedron dual to oval

If those are correct, then all I need do further, is construct a Coordinate System of Ln(x) and e^x functions so that when pushed together to form a origin point at (0,0), they form 4 quadrants and now I number the axes with equidistant units of the integers. And, if my above duals are correct, I should be able to take a square and plot it into this Ln system and out comes a circle. Plot a oval and it should come out as a pentagon of a dodecahedron.

What I am doing is not only unifying these figures, but making rhyme and reason of why circles are duals to squares and rectangles to ellipses. In other words-- why straight line figures have a dual curvedlined figure. It is as if Nature is a duality of being straight and being curved. And we see this in physics, in particles. That LIGHT WAVES are both straightline objects and also are Curvedlined objects.

Happy Holidays-- get plenty of sleep for that is life's utmost reward

Are any polyhedra conic sections?
No, just the hyperbola, parabola and ellipse.

That different parameter is the angle. Whenever we do something in geometry, it is not long before angles are involved.

So let us put all 6 polyhedra to a 90 degree 90 degree test. This is the angle in which they lay flat on the table with a perpendicular projection.

I especially want to see the dodecahedron as a squashed cube to hold a 3rd D oval.

Is the icosahedron a hyperbola of two branches? Yes, when laid flat and projected perpendicular.

Alright i had to be sure the dodecahedron was the oval not the icosahedron. The way to check is i placed the three including cube upon my freezer flat surface with shining bright lights to see that the dodecahedon, unlike cube or icosahedron can enclose a oval-- a oblong noncentered shape-- the dodecahedron has side to opposite side asymmetry.

Now i am unsure that i need to join together the e^x with Ln(x) functions at point (.7,.7) forming a coordinate system. For, what about the idea of a point of origin being a region-- a square region involving (0,0),(1,0),(1,1),(0,1) what is bad about the origin being a region of points instead of one point.
