I didn't think I would ever see anyone who could even come close to matching McGinn's ignorance, but I think Banjo-Boy has a solid chance... but he will need to step up his bullshit game significantly to be a winner.

Banjo is arguing of the existence of something invisible.
McGinn is arguing the non-existence of something invisible.

but the two are different, and they had a troll fight (!!)

( is NSA really reading this stuff ? and they get paid over $100k !!,
that is the job I want, so dude from NSA, send me an application, OK ?)

Someone is full of SOMETHNG here Banjo. And it ain't Aether!

Anyone who says that ANYTHING in the universe (including the universe
itself) is "infinite" or "Infinitely small" has their head firmly
planted up their own arse. You can trust Western Science on that one.

ONly known exception is Human Stupidity is clearly infinite.

How is aether fact ?

can you see it, weight it, measure it, detect it ?

if aether is infinatlly small, it is nothing.

and what can you do with nothing ? nothing at all.

But we can sense its effects.
Like getting warmth from the Sun by aether.
Like getting radio transmissions by aehter.
Like all growth of life through aether.
Like the presence of emotion, intellect, creativity with aether.
Atoms and molecules do not explain all the above.

One may as well say, the steak I eat has nothing to do with a cow, nor grass
or corn, nor soil nor air.
It is just something I buy from the supermarket.
I don't see cows, grass, corn, soil, air, water involved in a steak.
So all those need not exist.
No cows need to be killed for me to eat a steak, for I don't see cows anywhere.
What I don't see does not exist.
What I don't care about, ignore, does not matter so it need not exist.

This is a convenient piece of thinking.
And makes money, yugely.
Gives pleasure.

But a few may say that it is not correct.

> > if aether is infinatlly small, it is nothing.
> No.
If we are talking about infinities, then yes aether is infinitely small just
as a point in geometry is infinitely small with no dimensions.
A infinity of points in sequence makes a line.
An infinity of lines make a plane.
An infinity of planes make a solid shape.
Thus infinity of aether components make up matter, as protons and electrons and
their joinings like neutrons.

> >
> > and what can you do with nothing ? nothing at all.

Aether looks like nothing as such, but it is the source of everything while
appearing to be nothing.

Cheers,
Arindam Banerjee

not really, as between any two of those points there is an infinity of
points.

I see you are lost in scale.

aether is a concept, not measurable, and disproven in repeatable
experiments long ago.

but everyone knows that already.

If you had something new, some new evidence etc, it would be great news.
but simply stating such does not make it so.

now since I disagree with you on aether, will you call me a racist + bigot?

Sorry Sergio, Banjo is pretending to be a nutjob, but I can't allow your
erroneous rebuttal with out comment even though it may appear I am
siding with him, I AM NOT. He is here to obfucate what I'm saying not
reinforce it.

> that is fully explained by Maxwells equations. no aether needed.

Wrong. Maxwell's equation express heat as electromagnetic waves.
Waves BY THEIR VERY DEFINITION Require a medium. The name given to that
medium historically is "aether". (We can ignore all the new jargon
invented for the same thing designed to fool people into thinking it's
saying something new)

NO such thing. MMX proves that there IS NO AETHER DRIFT. Did NOT prove
there is not aether. That is an invalid jump of logic people decide to
make for little reason. Even Einstein said there must be something
called an "aether".

As Einstein pointed out, the Evidence of Aether is the properties of
"empty" space. impedance of vacuum for one.

Most of what Banjo says in not correct NOR does it agree with what

Aether as TOE is a concept with merit. And had NEVER been disproved ler
alone long ago.

No, not everyone. But establishment traditional "modern" physics has
bveen brainwashed into "knowing" it.

Doubtful. In my experience all really new great ideas generally are
resisted to the death. The person producing them are not praised and
celebrated (unless the ideas are REALLY minor and insignificant) and
usually are given the "Velikovsky" treatment. (Note still slammed even
though most of his predictions about Venus proved true and those of
establishment science of the day proved totally ignorant)

award winning Superbowl ad, right?

Maxwell's equations show that the radiation is a travelling wave function.
Waves cannot progress without a medium.
Maxwell's equations use electric permittivity and magnetic permeability to
find the speed of travel of the travelling wave. It is a constant value as
these two above values are constant. The value found from the experiments to
determining these constants to find the velocity of light match with the
experiments done to find the speed of light.
Which means that we do know something about the quality of aether, the
medium that supports travelling waves.
More than this we can know, with more research.
What that research will find, we cannot know at this stage.
Who knows, we can find more effects like electricity, electromagnetic induction,
radioactivity and now the fact that the Lorenz force does not have a reaction.

It proved that light speed depends upon the speed of the emitter.
That is all it did.
When we say that light like all radiation is a travelling wave it must have a
medium that propagates it like:
sound needs air or solid or water and not vacuum;
water waves need water;
a whipcrack needs a whip;
a Mexican wave needs Mexicans or substitutes.
So electromagnetic waves need a medium and 19th century physicists said yes
it did and they named it aether as a solid filling the entire universe.
Infinitely fine, infinitely elastic in all dimensions.

Search and ye shall find, it is said. One cannot show anything to those
wilfully blind. I have already said enough about this aether subject.

If you do not accept its existence, that is a silly thing to say.

Actually this is a profound concept for those who bring up their kids to
eat steak. Which is what I am driving at. Selective lying is essential for
indoctrination. In my case I did see chicken and goats getting slaughtered for
food. There was no effort to stop me. That is why many Indians become
vegetarian as no one hides the killing process.

No, not at all.

A narcissist in the pure sense is obsessed by his own beauty and cares for
nothing else. He does not harm anyone.

In this case we are talking about bringing up devils who will blind themselves
to facts on a selective basis. These benj-type devils, they are the most
harmful creatures on the planet. They have no moral sense - well, no kind of
sense except what is provided to them by their own reptilian brains. Which makes
them good barbarians, but otherwise, company best avoided.

An infinity of knotted aether points makes something like electrons, neutrons
and protons - and these make matter.

Mathematically{

something = zero * infinity.

In the aether sense

electron = zero negative half of aether * infinity of such zero negative half of aether

ditto for proton with positive sign.

Something = zero * infinity, and has a value say x.
That x becomes the standard.
Whether for the mass of an electron, or a centimetre, or a second.
A second is a infinity of zero times, thus.

It is a question of thinking differently, like the way the ancient Greeks did.
>

But it is not nothing. It is an infinity of infinities in many dimensions, in
the universe.
Certainly an attitude vastly different from what now prevails is necessary to
travel to the stars, expand all over the solar system, the galaxy, the
universe.
That has happened countless times before, and will happen countless times in
the future.
Whether or not anyone is interested in starting NOW is the question.

Nonsense. Liars rule, and so long as they do no progress is possible.

When people like you and benj ignore or ridicule new evidence like the Lorenz
force has no reaction, that is not my fault.

I won't bother calling anyone in particular names, such a lying devil.

Devils take up whatever opportunisms they
need to suit their biases and passions. Sometimes racism, sometimes bigotry.
Sometimes slavery, sometimes genocide.

They usually come in two styles - one lot are hypocritical/suave/bigoted
slavers, while the other lot the ignorant/crude/racist genocidals.
