They don't have the same rotational motion on one side that they do on the other because they don't behave like solid discs. > What ARE you saying, Odd? > Do you even KNOW, anymore, at this point? Of course I do. You're the one that seems to be oscillating wildly. Note that your first complaint was that current theory did not predict all new observed phenomena. Then you decided to MAKE UP a prediction that the current theory predicted equal rotation rates on both sides of a galaxy, so that the data would be in conflict with this made up prediction. So where a theory doesn't make a prediction, you think it's wise to invent one and then say it's wrong? Are you on crack? -- Odd Bodkin -- maker of fine toys, tools, tables

Odd "Are you on crack? " No. But let's look at where your epicycles have gotten you: NOW you say that galactic discs rotate MORE SLOWLY on one side than the other. Have you thought this through? Can you find ONE EXAMPLE of something rotating that does so more slowly on one side than the other? Even a crack head could probably see the impossibility of that claim. Odd- you're letting go of sanity, bud.

Sure. Pour milk into a cup of coffee and stir it slowly with a stick so that you can see arms of white and dark. Notice that there will be differences in the pattern on one side compared to the other. A galaxy is not like a painting on a cardboard disc, rotating as a unit. It CAN'T be. > > Even a crack head could probably see the impossibility of that claim. > Odd- you're letting go of sanity, bud. > It's funny how you say things that are readily apparent in everyday life are impossible. -- Odd Bodkin -- maker of fine toys, tools, tables

Odd " > It's funny how you say things that are readily apparent in everyday life are impossible. " Run that by me, again, Odd. Coffee-stirring. Galaxies didn't just get cream poured in them- they've been here for a LONG time. HOW is one side of a disc able to rotate slower than the other, again? Try- really try to THINK, Odd.

Odd It's mind-blowing what you believe in. Particles with no structure, or volume- MANY different kinds!! Waves waving in NOTHING- no medium, no nothing- a wave of nothing!! Discs that are everywhere discs with one side rotating SLOWER!! Wow! Unlimited Gravity within every piece of matter!! Wow. Produced by doing NOTHING! Forever!! Wow! Electrons spinning around nuclei- charges moving st relativistic speeds- and NO FIELD produced!! Just wow!! Indefensible, man.

Odd "What part of "galaxies do not behave like solid discs" have you failed to ..." Oh, do the 400 billion stars behave like orbiting bodies? Like planets? Do they "orbit"? Have you EVER seen an orbiting body speed up and then slow down and then speed up again? Maybe Jupiter does that? Is suddenly LATE? Or maybe an eclipse doesn't happen? Because the moon was lolligagging? EXTREME fudge!!!!!! Not a 'solid' disc. A MAGIC disc.

The orbits are much more complicated since the mass is distributed rather than can be modeled as a point (like the Sun mostly can). >Have you EVER seen an orbiting body speed up and then slow down and then >speed up again? >Maybe Jupiter does that? Is suddenly LATE? Actually Jupiter does just that, since its orbital eccentricity is not 0. Its orbit on one side of the sun is slower than on the other side. Earth, too, which is why (Northern hemisphere) summer is slightly longer than winter (equinox to equinox).

Like no magnetic field produced by an electron moving in an atom. That's just a fucking LIE, John, already corrected, and here it is again. I can think of only a few explanations for this: 1. You're emotionally attached to the lie so you repeat it. 2. When corrected in writing, you can't comprehend what you just read. 3. You can't remember from one day to the next what's been told to you, so you just revert to what you thought a while ago, a sign of dementia. 4. You don't bother reading corrections to the things you say because you're just not interested. Which of these is most accurate? Then there's galaxies which you say are solid discs and they aren't. And the unlimited gravity which is just not a claim of anyone except you. And waves of nothing - nobody but you and Jacoby say that. See? What's nonsense is all the crap you MADE UP. -- Odd Bodkin -- maker of fine toys, tools, tables

Odd "Who says it's always on our side? " Oh, NOW you are saying that ALL stars in the galaxy have HIGHLY IRREGULAR orbits! Perhaps you forgot that that depends on how far out they go? Let's look at THAT Odd idea: in order to be going slower on one side than the other, they have to be further away! Well, that's easy- the stars on the FAST side are all diving in real CLOSE, like a comet, and the ones on the other are all going WAY out FAR!!! Is that what we see, Odd? Galactic nuclei all skewed to ONE SIDE? And to measure GRCs, we need a galaxy that's close to edge-on to us, and the fast side is always conveniently exactly opposite the slow side in all those edge-on galaxies? Of all these galaxies where ALL the stars go FAR OUT on one side? (The slow ones- like you?)

The imbalance in the mass distribution is SMALL. It is not true that stars all orbit the galaxy at a fixed radius, AND it is not true that they all swing from apohelion to perihelion in sync. It is like a FLUID which has a little asymmetry, like what you see in countless ordinary fluid examples, and NEITHER foaming-at-the-mouth extreme you're ranting about applies. -- Odd Bodkin -- maker of fine toys, tools, tables

Odd When they do GRCs, they pick stars AT THE SAME RADIUS, you dildo

Odd Besides- further out stars are MEASURED to go as fast OR FASTER than more central stars. Your silly suck Gravity died in the 70's. You dinosaurs just won't accept it. MOND is one approach that gives a better match

They move at approximately the same speed in most spiral galaxies. Meaning they don't rotate as a unit, the outer stars with a longer path take longer to complete one orbit. Easily explainable if there's some invisible heavy stuff in there (ever find a six year old willing to explain that to you?) >Your silly suck Gravity died in the 70's. No, your suck LeSage gravity died in the 1700s or something. >You dinosaurs just won't accept it. Yes, you won't accept that something that failed centuries ago is a failure. Why do you want to revive a failed theory?
