Odd "determined that 30 percent of stars have moved far across the Galaxy, is " So, what? Do electrons change location? Do electrons share? What's your point? Do Earth movements occur? Does stuff change? That doesn't mean that Earth isn't an entity. Why are both Magellan Clouds missing all their Hydrogen? Why are two of the Milky Ways arms so much brighter? Now think about your objection to my methane animation because sometimes two of the Hydrogens don't have an electron for a period of time. http://users.accesscomm.ca/john/methane.GIF It's a good thing you didn't go into Science- GREAT imagination but no logic.

But there isn't matter and antimatter among the electrons moving around. Remember you are claiming that alternate arms of a galaxy are matter and antimatter. This is NOT true in atoms and it CANNOT be true in galaxies either. > Do electrons share? > What's your point? > Do Earth movements occur? > Does stuff change? > That doesn't mean that Earth isn't an entity. Entity doesn't mean ISOLATED, and isolation is what you need to prevent matter and antimatter interacting, which would produce characteristic gamma rays that are NOT SEEN. Waves on the ocean are entities too, but the material in the water moves from one wave to the next. And so it would be LUNACY to suggest that one entity (a wave) is antimatter while the next entity (the next wave) is matter. That could only happen if the waves were ISOLATED from each other, and you don't have that isolation between galactic arms. > > Why are both Magellan Clouds missing all their Hydrogen? They're not. There are streams of neutral hydrogen between the two clouds and between them and the Milky Way. They are immersed in hydrogen. Older, anyway. > Which should peg how long a precession takes > From the same magazine article: "According to the research, the Milky Way's construction schedule began with the oldest globular star clusters and dwarf galaxies, which formed a few hundred million years after the big bang, settling into what is now the galaxy's halo. These populations merged over billions of years to form the structure of our Milky Way. Stars in the inner halo were born during the assembly process. Over time, the Milky Way gobbled up older dwarf galaxies that formed less than 2 billion years after the big bang. Their ancient stars settled into the outskirts of the halo, creating the outer halo." And the referenced article is here: http://www.nature.com/nature/journal/v486/n7401/full/nature11062.html I think it's pretty plainly discussed in the paper the model for the formation of these two halo components. Even electrically neutral atoms and molecules have gravitational attraction. But such clouds of antimatter and matter would have to have clear well defined boundaries of pure vacuum between them in order not to react. What force would keep them apart and why have we never seen this force in the lab? That "force" has to be smart enough to keep even a single stray atom or electron from drifting from one side to the other. IOW, it has to be nearly perfect! So now answer our question: what keeps antimatter away from matter?

So based on your "answer", you admit that nothing keeps galactic matter/antimatter arms apart. Glad to see you are learning something. So now that we can dismiss the matter/antimatter galactic arms theory, maybe we can progress to your fractal theory. Ed

Opposite charges do attract. You observed that in grade school. Matter and antimatter have opposite charge. Plus, as we've already mentioned, stars MIGRATE from arm to arm. I gave you the paper. Now, explain to me how this happens if the arms repel each other. Here's a map of the Milky Way. Do you see giant voids between the arms where there is neither matter nor antimatter? If you read more accurately, John, you'd see there was a ground state of 133.84 degrees (and correct prediction of this was a quantum chemistry success), a linear (180 degrees) state 5.5 kcal/mol above that and a singlet state (102 degrees) exists 9 kcal/mol above the lower triplet state. (do you have any clue what any of this means?)
