Here's your chance to learn something John. Google: Spiral Galaxies Just look at the images. Notice how the arms of many galaxies are not the same size or shape. Clearly not the same number of stars. Based on current physics, this fits the laws of gravity and our understanding of stellar and galactic evolution. But I commend you. You made a prediction from your theory. The prediction can be tested. Now you have the chance to learn. ed

While he actually predicted something, his wording is such that he apparently believes his prediction is an established fact, rather than a "let's see if my theory may be valid by seeing if my prediction is true" statement that a scientist would make. Just looking at pictures of spiral galaxies would suggest it's almost certainly wrong, plus stars are changing arms regularly as they orbit.

" Electrons can have different energy at different orbitals. Galactic arms, also, can contain stars that are bright or dim. But the excited electron is still equal to the one in its ground state, charge-wise. So there's that.

Yeah, and...? We're discussing the number of stars in a galaxy arm, not the charge of an electron. BTW you may want to check out maps of the Milky Way. It seems to have incomplete arms, including the one the sun is in.

Just switching the subject? John, I keep hoping you might learn something. Here's a nice asymmetric galaxy https://www.spacetelescope.org/images/opo1000a/ Let's consider North to be the top of the image, Looking at the center, there seem to be two arms. According to your theory, one would be matter and the other anti-matter. Lets call arm A the one that seems to start at the ESE (East-south-east) point and arm B the one to start at the WNW point. Now follow arm B about 3 quarters of the way around, arm B has a nearly 90 degree bend so that part extends nearly straight north. If you look carefully, it seems to touch arm A. Funny though, no indications of gamma rays from that part of that galaxy. Somehow those matter and anti-matter stars do not interact? You claim, magnetic interactions. Hmm, but all stars form from gas. What keeps the matter gas separate from the antimatter gas? Here's one of your highly symmetric galaxies. https://www.nasa.gov/multimedia/imagegallery/image_feature_2132.html with lots of gas visible over the entire galaxy. How does that happen, keeping gaseous matter from anti-matter? And here is a second problem with your theory, what happens when two galaxies collide? Check this image: https://apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap140119.html which shows two spiral galaxies, both have unequal arms because they are in the beginning stage of colliding. How does the matter and anti-matter not collide in that situation? Here's a chance to learn something John. We can learn more from our failures than from our successes. God knows I have had my fair share of failures. ed

ed You need to play with magnets. Do two poles that repel EVER touch, unless forced? Why not?

So you are claiming that magnetic fields magically are anti-aligned between matter and anti-matter arms of spiral galaxies? You are a silly boy. ed

What does that mean? Can you explain, then, when the arms were/will be equal, and why, please?

You're like a drowning man who will grab onto anything around him in a vain attempt to stay alive. Floundering. That's the word " Where is the proof that these galaxies are MOVING, at all? Sure, they are spinning. and I think precessing, but where is the proof that their centres are moving with respect to each other? YOU say they are "colliding" for some reason. Why?
