What we DON'T know about tornadoes https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-KOTFV8d-t0 Published on Jun 17, 2016 After a half century of investigation with radar, the fundamental mechanism of how tornadoes form eludes meteorology. A complete theory must describe the sources of rotation along with how and why it is positioned and concentrated. What we still don't know about tornado formation as explained by NSSL meteorologists using data from the Verification of the Origins of Rotation in Tornadoes Experiment (VORTEX). Maybe it is time to examine alternate theories.
