QM is used to predict molecular bonds and shapes.
A lot of modern pharmaceuticals are based on proteins
that are Designed based on QM modeling.

This doesn't seem to have anything to do with
what you quoted. Since you did not disagree, it implies that
you agree QM does work in designing molecules.
