People talk about "opposite spin".
Look at a Ferris wheel from one side,
it is rotating one way.
Look at it from the other side,
it is rotating the other way.
Just perspective.

Same for a merry go round. Look at it
from above- rotating one way.
Look at it from below- other way.
Just perspective.

Plain spin has no "opposite".
It's just spin.

BUT.

Combine the two spins- lock them
together so X rotations of one will
always be Y rotations of the other.

Put the Ferris wheel on the merry go round
so every time the merry go round
completes a rotation, the bottom bucket
on the Ferris wheel has gone around
once, and is back. Or has gone around
twice, which is what I think happens
in atoms, but the "Hubius helix" is the
path for just once (a figure of eight
lying on a sphere from North Pole to
south.) it was DERIVED from electron data.

Anyway, make the merry go round go
backwards while keeping

THEN you have a true opposite spin.

No, John, that is not antimatter. Antimatter is not opposite spin, it is
opposite charge, opposite baryon/lepton numbers and so forth. Antimatter
particles have the same spin states as the corresponding matter.

And again, QM spin is quite different from rotations.  For the electron
or positron, there are only two values possible.  No "fast" or "slow" or
"stopped", no "forward" or "backwards", no "clockwise" or "counterclockwise",
no perspective looking at it from the opposite side, no precession, just 
+1/2 and -1/2.  Period.

electron, not some retarded carnival.  The property "spin" can have one of
only two values, +1/2 and -1/2.  That's quite different from physical
spinning which can have any value, including zero.  It's not even
physical rotation, much less precession.

to read a good book on the topic?

How do you propose to lock the ratio at 1 to 2, John. I mean, 
physically, what are the details of that?

The reason I ask is that if you take a bicycle wheel and hold it up at 
one end of the axle, you'll see both the spinning and the precession. 
The other thing you'll notice is that the faster the bicycle wheel 
spins, the slower it will precess. And unless you've got a bright idea 
otherwise, you're going to find that you won't be able to change that 
behavior, so that locked 1 to 2 ratio is going to be a problem.
