Answer the boomerang post, Odd. There is NO PULL. There is PUSH, which doesn't always go in straight lines. Or show me the "ropes", or retarded "gravitons", or whatever. Your idea of gravity- Suck Gravity- is retarded. Retarded claims need evidence. Where is it?

Okay, Odd. You are not thinking clearly. I really have no idea why you cannot follow the main point? Did they give you Ritalin as a kid? They shouldn't have done that, but I can see why they did it. The point was, a push can go in a circle. So- WHY do you continue to believe in some kind of pull/"just because it's there" scenario, with absolutely no evidence?

First of all, there is no material thing in contact with the boomerang to push it. So your IMAGINING of some "push" going around in a circle is just that -- an imagining. Where is the evidence of this? You say, "Just look, it goes around in a circle, there MUST be something pushing it around that way." No, John, the push is in your imagination. The link from the observed behavior to your inferred cause being a push is of your own mental making. It isn't there. > > So- WHY do you continue to believe > in some kind of pull/"just because it's there" > scenario, with absolutely no evidence? > John, come on. The problem with Standard Model was that they DECREED a "smallest" particle right at the start- because they were short on Logic- and people like Odd have been dreaming along behind them ever since. Time to wake up. You can't just "decree" other explanations right out of the running by setting unproven parameters. At no time has a Fractal Universe based on a galaxy/atom iteration ever been ruled out. Plus, Odd, your model is stupid.

And of course, it's nowhere near as stupid as fractarded precessing spinny things.

Michael I am referring to the practice of not recognizing something if it's too small to be seen. I am referring to YOUR declaration- since you follow Standard Model- that there is a limit to material structure of any kind smaller than Planck. Me? I make no such limits

john <johnsefton288@gmail.com> tarded: >Michael >I am referring to the practice of >not recognizing something >if it's too small to be seen. You didn't answer the question, which you also snipped. I'll ask again: >>You can't just "decree" other explanations >>right out of the running by setting >>unproven parameters. >So why do you do that, John? You complained that the Standard Model made some sort of "decree", yet you do the same by decreeing the universe is fractarded precessing spinny things. Of course the Standard Model did not decree anything, it is simply following the evidence. You, on the other hand, just make crap up after a Little Pharma binge or something, then decree that that is the real truth.

If someday, we are able to measure something smaller, then the model can be updated. That is how it works. Exactly. Where are the parameters that require the electron to consist of your vortices? You haven't proved any such parameters yet. > At no time has > a Fractal Universe > based on a galaxy/atom iteration > ever been ruled out. Agreed. But at no point has any EVIDENCE for a fractal universe been found. Just so you know, you have not been the first to propose such an idea. But the idea has gone nowhere because it doesn't have supporting evidence. It doesn't work. [insult deleted] And a good day to you sir. :)

I really don't think that's accurate, John. The idea of a smallest particle has been HYPOTHESIZED, and then the hypothesis has been compared to experimental measurement. Here is what is true of observations: Some things have been found to exhibit internal structure. Some things have NOT been found to exhibit internal structure. And the existence of both categories of things are hypothesized to exist and then the predicted behaviors of both categories are checked against observations. You on the other hand, want to insist DESPITE observation that all things have internal structure whether seen or unseen. In other words, for those cases where observation says no internal structure, you are supposing HIDDEN internal structure. That is, you are making a hypothesis that EVERYTHING has internal structure, even things that don't exhibit any. So in terms of what makes a greater conceptual leap, you are the one that is actually hypothesizing something more radical than what observation actually suggests. That's all fine and good. But now the onus is on you to provide EVIDENCE for this rather radical view of hidden structure. > Time to wake up. > You can't just "decree" other explanations > right out of the running by setting > unproven parameters. > At no time has > a Fractal Universe > based on a galaxy/atom iteration > ever been ruled out. > > Plus, Odd, your model is stupid. > -- Odd Bodkin --- maker of fine toys, tools, tables

Odd You don't need evidence to disprove something that is not logically sound. You need new scientists- ones that can think. Pffft

The problem, John, is that what you call "logic" is not what scientist calls logic. You call "logic" adherence to rules that you think apply -- like "everything has structure". And anything that does not adhere to your private rules you think is illogical. That's NOT a discussion about logic. the first subject of the trivium is logic, which Boole showed to be the same as binary arithmetic, t & f valuation, or f & t valuation. of course, binary is the simplest arithmetic; it is just two-by-two tables for any property (although I favor a diamond shape for the table, so that the diagonals are horizontal & vertical. and, taht is probably just under the rubric of archimedean valuations, or infinite-adic valuation > You call "logic" adherence to rules that you think apply -- like > "everything has structure". You see, Odd What I don't understand, is how Standard Model thinks that it can decide what is, or is not, "fundamental " right at the BEGINNING of the process of discovery. And then commit their entire model to it. What a dumb move. Bzzzzt. Wrong!!

No, John. It is a THEORY that certain particles are fundamental. It is a theory that is very well supported (they have no measurable structure nor measurable size) but it is still a theory. And as a fairly major theory, there is a Nobel Prize waiting for any scientist who can prove that they are not fundamental! So you bet if there was evidence of that, there will be scientists chasing it, big time. But we all know there are no galaxies in electrons, they are just the result of raging OCD or "Little Pharma" inspired hallucinations. >And then commit their entire model >to it. Michael said " No, John. It is a THEORY that certain particles are fundamental. It is a theory that" Okay, so this is what the entire Standard Model is based on: point particles, real, virtual, and delusional. All kinds. How many "point particles" are there?
