Now are there other universities in USA other than Southern Methodist that is heavily engaged in geothermal energy?

And how ironic that Texas-- an old oil state is being challenged by geothermal.

Now they are drilling for a lot of oil in North Dakota, but I bet if they drilled for geothermal instead in North Dakota, they would extract more energy, and no pollution.

Now it is a crying shame that the science magazines of Science, New Scientist, Scientific American, Science News have not covered the Southern Methodist Univ. contribution of using old oil wells for geothermal electricity in Texas.

It is a crying shame that none of those magazines did a report on geothermal energy for the past year that I been reading those magazines, looking for reports on geothermal. I guess they are paid for by oil and gas and coal lobby groups to keep geothermal news out of the news media.

A little while ago, Archimedes, I gave you a list of a half dozen
publications focused on geothermal energy. Here you are now, complaining
that articles on geothermal energy aren't appearing in the magazines
that you happen to like. Does it occur to you that if the mountain won't
come to Mohammed, then Mohammed might have to go to the mountain instead?

Not only do the science magazines barely if ever mention or write about geothermal but the TV outlets of BBC, PBS and others barely if ever mention geothermal. PBS would rather do a 10 minute segment on some crackpot notion of battery improvement, than on the fact that geothermal energy is increasingly being developed throughout the world.

If anyone had the notion that geothermal would make oil/coal/gas go obsolete just as whale oil is obsolete, those people would not have learned that from science magazines nor from BBC or PBS.

Then partake of the geothermal publications, of which there are several,
rather than complaining that your personal selection of news outlets
doesn't cover the news you want to see.

Now I am a member of AAAS and still have never seen a single news article in SCIENCE magazine covering geothermal.

Have the oil companies been buying out the AAAS scientists?

One wonders why you are a member of the AAAS. Hopefully that
membership will be a learning vehicle for you, AP.

Why be a front page hog?

Nor is sci.physics a place to post draft number 235 of the first page of
a book you intend to self-publish later, Archimedes.

Look in the mirror, please, before criticizing others for their behavior.

LOL. Nice "logic" there.
Since breakeven in fusion hasn't yet been achieved, then the only remedy
is the runaway reaction.
