Now it is a crying shame that the science magazines of Science, New Scientist, Scientific American, Science News have not covered the Southern Methodist Univ. contribution of using old oil wells for geothermal electricity in Texas. It is a crying shame that none of those magazines did a report on geothermal energy for the past year that I been reading those magazines, looking for reports on geothermal. I guess they are paid for by oil and gas and coal lobby groups to keep geothermal news out of the news media. AP

PBS would rather do a 10 minute segment on some crackpot notion of battery improvement, than on the fact that geothermal energy is increasingly being developed throughout the world. If anyone had the notion that geothermal would make oil/coal/gas go obsolete just as whale oil is obsolete, those people would not have learned that from science magazines nor from BBC or PBS. AP
