Once two electrons with the same spin get next to each other in an atom, they should become part of a from-then-on inseparable two-electron unit.

Hanson Cooper pairs, in my construction, would be electrons of opposite spin sharing an orbital 'sans nucleus'. I'm talking about when electrons of the same spin are forced by circumstance to be neighbours. Hmm. Why am I thinking that neutrons are what does this?

Quantum mechanics forbids two electrons from being in the same state. Having opposite spin is sufficient to be in different states, so Cooper pairs can exist. >Hmm. If neighboring galactic arms have opposite spin, they remain separate. But if they have the same spin, they would attract each other and merge. So, building Galaxy/atoms one at a time, and placing arms on the disc, H is one arm of either spin. One arm. He is one arm of each spin. Two arms. But Li is one arm of one and two arms of the other. Or vice versa. So, no matter what, there will be two alike arms as neighbors, and they will merge. Therefore, there should be very few if any three-armed galaxies.
