I've being trying to find out if the Nazis ever used metal detectors in order to identify which of the inmates at Auschwitz had the most significant quantities of gold fillings in their teeth - see:

Has anyone ever come across any eye-witness testimonies which provide evidence of this?

Also, later in his life the Holocaust survivor and author Primo Levi travelled extensively by air. Is there any suggestion in his writings and/or correspondences that he had likened the experience of passing through airport security scanners with that of the "Great Selection" of October 1944 at Auschwitz?
