Bad enough the U. S. has religious zealots holding political offices (and running for President). India's clone of AlGore, Anil Madhav Dave, India’s Environmental Minister, is a HAARP conspiracy theorist: http://dailycaller.com/2016/07/18/indias-al-gore-us-weapons-caused-global-warming/ That article references another: http://www.business-standard.com/article/pti-stories/us-developed-weapon-system-may-cause-global-warming-govt-116071800897_1.html which mentions India's commitment to environmental concerns: "NAPCC comprises eight missions in areas of solar energy, enhanced energy efficiency, habitat, water, sustaining Himalayan ecosystems, forestry, agriculture and strategic knowledge of climate change. "It also addresses the issues relating to mitigation of greenhouse gases and adaptation to the adverse impacts of climate change on environment, forest, habitat, water resources and agriculture. "Dave said 32 states and union territories (UTs) have also prepared a State Action Plan on Climate Change (SAPCC)." The first article, however, points out that "India is the world’s fastest growing, and third largest, emitter of carbon dioxide (CO2). In 2014, India got 59 percent of its electricity from coal, and Indian leaders are ramping up the country’s coal production by opening a new mine every month. The country appears set to literally double down on coal by doubling production and building 87,122 megawatts of new coal power capacity. Even with that level of coal use, it is estimated that 400 million Indians, 31 percent of the population, lack access to electricity. "India has stated it will only reduce emissions if it receives substantial assistance from Western countries, equivalent to $2.5 trillion over the next 15 years in direct aid, grants, and cheap financing." Yeah, it's all the fault of the Evil West which must be forced to impoverish itself so that India can "reduce" carbon with one hand while _doubling_ its output with the other. Mark L. Fergerson

Doesn't matter- it's a phased array with IIRC ~ 60 degrees of "swing" available to the main beam lobe. OTOH one has to wonder why everybody bitches about HAARP's piddling 3.6 MW ERP but never about Russia's Sura Ionospheric Heating Facility (190 MW ERP) or EISCAT's >1GW ERP. Well, I have to wonder, anyway. Mark L. Fergerson

Somehow, he was a bit too politicially sensitive, though. So what, who's perfect? Afterall. Sociophysics, what do you call it hanson? You should write more on that specific topic of yours. Don't let Swine Glazier drown your thoughts. In Grasshopper Mode I say: Be yourself, do not be manipulated. Recently, by the way, Wally W. pointed out to me this good news: > >Yes, Mati was/is wonderful to read. I read he died at age 80+ something? > > Apparently not. > > He still seems to be publishing in 2016: > http://www.physics.northwestern.edu/people/faculty/pulak-dutta.html > Near Wet Charged Surfaces---a Potential Mechanism for Charge > Inversion, ... Mati Meron ... Langmuir 32, 73 (2016) Cool link, thanks WallyJi! I might have been misinformed about Mati. Still, now I feel even more confused... despite that great good news! My pal Mati Meron did not seem like some one who would just leave Usenet. Was it something I said? Me m(y) accent?! Hello... colour of me hair?! Mati?! His great telling signature two lines used to be: Mati Meron | "When you argue with a fool, meron@cars.uchicago.edu | chances are he is doing just the same" Likely I'm in some sort of a slump. As the Irish sing: Death death DEATH! Lord John Parker, Will Jawonski, ..., Ed Green. Others. The list is long. I did recently watch/listen to Joan Baez on PBS celebrating her 75th birthday. I coundn't help pondering if Dr. John Baez -- who cares about the two factor?! That one -- was backstage or in the audience. No disrespect to yenta BAH, but if she was a grandmother back in 1990s, as she claimed to be... one's gotta wonder what her diet is?! Usenet would be better if interactions were more realLife like. Face-to-face and all that. RealPeople interactions in actual life are very dependent upon how they see you or you see them. It's the way. Watch children playing... they seem so wise... The Moody Blues... https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q=Watch+children+play+they+seem+so+wise Time seems to stand quite still... You mean the non-secret part was never secret. Which is the point. I presume you believe that when a project looks good and the government says "Oh that! We closed that project back in xxxx" That like HVAC a person can believe that they would never have a secret continuation. Would they? How's your clearance and "need to know"? I'm sure that if HAARP experiments WERE causing global warming (rather than the more likely data fudging) that you and HVAC will assure us that the gummint will quickly admit guilt. Right?
