keeping them out, which is our right and our duty. - Checkmate (#1 pussy willow fan)

Been using Usenet since 1987 or maybe 1988. Not sure that makes me a
newbie. :)

Back then, though, there was a lot less trolling. It is always September
now.

Personal attacks from those who troll show their own insecurity. They
cannot use reason to show the message to be wrong so they try to feel
somehow superior by attacking the messenger.

They cling to their attacks and ignore the message time and time again.

Most people here do not have vehicles and other equipment to deal with
it. It is wise to stay off the roads and I *mostly* have today (went
about a mile up the road to do sledding with the kids for a few
minutes). But we had plenty of warning and have food and extra water and
even an emergency heating plan if needed. If power goes out for a few
days it would sorta suck but even that would not exactly be an emergency.

The "emergency" is more of a political designation to help get funding
if needed, as far as I can tell.

Personal attacks from those who troll show their own insecurity. They
cannot use reason to show the message to be wrong so they try to feel
somehow superior by attacking the messenger.

They cling to their attacks and ignore the message time and time again.

I have enough to get by for a few days... if it went to 10 with no power
I would survive but be hurting.

Personal attacks from those who troll show their own insecurity. They
cannot use reason to show the message to be wrong so they try to feel
somehow superior by attacking the messenger.

They cling to their attacks and ignore the message time and time again.

I know the last few years have seen this -- not sure if the evidence
shows it is likely to continue. I suspect it is but will wait for better
evidence than my guess. :)

--
Personal attacks from those who troll show their own insecurity. They
cannot use reason to show the message to be wrong so they try to feel
somehow superior by attacking the messenger.

They cling to their attacks and ignore the message time and time again.
