I know you used English words to write that sentence but it
makes no sense. It appears to me it that as a general proposition
it DOES make sense to pay people what they are worth, period.
Will you please explain what you really mean?

I accept you fail to understand it. The final "their" refers to the
corporation, if that helps you.

> It appears to me it that as a general proposition
> it DOES make sense to pay people what they are worth, period.

Not if you can avoid it... and given the power of the corporation over
the employee they, of course, often can.

> Will you please explain what you really mean?

A corporation has every incentive, and the power, to NOT pay people the
value of their work. This is based on the inherent unequal power in the
deals generally made. A poor person often has to agree to a level of pay
under duress... and such it makes no sense to blindly trust the employer
to just be fair.

Government welfare has nothing to do with what wage
an employee should receive.

The very topic is the government jumping in to cover the costs of labor
when the employer does not. You then deem these payments to have nothing
to do with the wage.

Amazing "logic" you use. LOL!

How do you figure the government is not helping to fund Walmart and
McDonald’s employees?

How so?

Personal attacks from those who troll show their own insecurity. They
cannot use reason to show the message to be wrong so they try to feel
somehow superior by attacking the messenger.

They cling to their attacks and ignore the message time and time again.

Of course, since mixed nut's original statement was actually

How so? That is the question and you set this as a starting assumption.
