I move from planet to planet to avoid the government trackers. I also
wrap aluminum foil around my underwear. But that is just a fashion
statement.

The "chrome" parts are plated plastic, i.e., fossil fuel.
Probably most of the innards too. It contains a printed
circuit board, the substrate is made from fossil fuels.

The chips and other electronic components are cased in plastic.

The wires are covered in plastic.

The cord uses synthetic rubber made from oil

Indeed, I bet if we checked the overwhelming bulk of that keyboard directly
required oil to produce the materials. Then we could consider all the
secondary aspects where fossil fuels were used. From the logging and
production of paper used in the box and packaging, to the use of fossil
fuels to get the keyboard from the manufacture to the wholesaler to the
retailer to him as the end user.

Which he then uses with a device also largely made of materials produced
from fossil fuels and using fossil fuels throughout it's manufacturing and
distribution.

See, IMO, he's a scammer, he only opposes the use of fossil fuels where it
won't actually impact him or his life. Actually require him to go without
anything that required any fossil fuels....and he's not going to accept
that.

Do you eat? Much fossil fuel was used in growing your
food and getting it from the farmer to your plate.

Do you use electricity? Obviously yes, since your
computer runs on it. Much fossil fuel was used in
generating that electricity and getting it from the
supply source to your electricity-powered stuff.

Do you use any manufactured stuff? Much fossil fuel was
used in manufacturing that stuff and getting it from the
maker to your hands.

The world is so dependent on fossil fuel that if it
all disappeared overnight, civilization would collapse,
billions would starve, and most of the rest would revert
to the stone age.

My point is, when % says he/she/it doesn't use fossil fuels,
that's a lie. Basically, unless you are living in a cave and
living off the land (in which case you won't be on the internet),
you have chosen a lifestyle that depends on the use of fossil fuel.

It is pretty much impossible to avoid -- hence why we need a societal
shift. And, of course, it will not happen over night, but the longer we
wait the worse things are.

We have a winner.

And further since he's not moving into that cave and living off the land, he
continues to chose a lifestyle that depends utterly on the use of fossil
fuel.

No problem. Discontinue your use of all oil, gasoline, diesel fuel, grease,
plastic, natural gas, rubber, insecticides, ink, wax, rubbing alcohol,
bandages, cold cream, paint, shaving crème, ammonia, tooth paste, lipstick,
etc, etc, etc....

When you can end your use of everything that uses or requires fossil
fuels....then you can claim you've made that choice. Until then....you will
and are going to continue to use fossil fuels.

So let us know when you devolve to 18th century living.

And ignore responsibility. Sure. It is a very conservative world view to

Tell us how we could cease using fossil fuels, and the

Heck, I'm more interested in hearing him explain exactly what we're suppose
to take responsibility for along with the proof that we're actually
responsible for whatever he's complaining about.

So you have no clue what is being discussed. Oy. OK, we as a society
should take responsibility for the harm we do -- in the case of climate
change this largely means our use of ancient stores of carbon.

But conservatives, on this issues and others, loathe the idea of
responsibility.
