Humans are responsible for another 40 X 10^9 Tonnes. That's around 9%. So, now I have corrected your misconception, what do you have to say? And again, you are WAY out of your depth in this discussion. Your knowledge of AGW theory is severely and chronically lacking. Which, of course, begs the question: Why are you so certain there is no problem, if you are so ignorant of the facts? -- Trevor Wilson www.rageaudio.com.au

That's around 9%. CO2 makes around 0.039% of the atmosphere What's 9% of 0.039%? So, 0.00351% of all Green House Gases are from man's release of CO2. Yep, I can certainly see where man is in control of Earth's climate...... N O T > So, now I have corrected your misconception, what do you have to say? You're still ignorant, but maybe you just learned something? > And again, you are WAY out of your depth in this discussion. Yea. 0.00351% is certainly out of my depth. > Your knowledge of AGW theory is severely and chronically lacking. Oh, so now you want to talk THEORIES....well I can make guesses as well. How about, the Earth has been subject to regular cycles of global warming and cooling. An Ice Age is denoted as an extended period of extensive global cooling. An interglacial period is an period between Ice Ages denoted by an extended period of extensive global warming. These have occurred multiple times before man was even an actor on the stage and operate via natural processes neither caused by man nor involving man. My theory is that in an interglacial period we can expect to see........wait for it.....GLOBAL WARMING which is a normal and natural process of the global climate of the planet. How's that for a THEORY for you? > Which, of course, begs the question: Why are you so certain there is no > problem, if you are so ignorant of the facts? I would ask you the same question.

Needless to say he has no idea that such actions are considered very bad form in science and reason enough to ignore everything you say.

More to the point I don't claim to be an expert on the subject as Trevor claims he is. So I'm perfectly willing to admit to making errors. The only problem I see is any errors made don't really change the fact that we're talking a virtually insignificant amount in comparison to the vast amounts naturally occurring. Of course, Trevor doesn't want to discuss THAT aspect but instead points out anything other than utter perfection as cause to dismiss the argument. If so....then he had better practice the level of perfection he claims is necessary.

I _have_ been discussing precisely that. You seem to imagine that the 40 BILLION Tonnes of CO2 emitted by human actions will have no effect on this planet's climate. So we know, beyond any doubt, that CO2 is a driver of climate, how can you possibly imagine that the extra 43% of CO2 in the atmosphere will do nothing? I also point out the close link between CO2 levels and temperatures in past climate shifts: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carbon_dioxide_in_Earth%27s_atmosphere#/media/File:Vostok_Petit_data.svg A point you fail to address. > > If so....then he had better practice the level of perfection he claims > is necessary. **All you need to do is think critically and read the damned science, rather than watching Fox News.
