"According to the 2014 report of the Australian Government's Great
Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority (GBRMPA), says that climate change is
the most significant environmental threat to the Great Barrier Reef,[5]
while the other major environmental pressures are listed as decreased
water quality from land-based runoff, impacts from coastal development
and some persistent impacts from fishing activities. The reef is also
threatened by storms, coral bleaching and ocean acidification."

I saw the fertalizer GBR thing on TV about 3 years ago, like on PBS

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kGRyNWrkG_w

https://prezi.com/w3tr4kumoye4/the-effect-of-fertilisers-and-pesticides-on-the-great-barrier-reef/

https://www.qld.gov.au/environment/agriculture/sustainable-farming/canefarming-impacts

http://www.slate.com/articles/health_and_science/science/2016/05/here_s_how_the_great_barrier_reef_could_still_recover.html

I spent 2 years on Guam in the 60's, was all over the reefs there, and
here is a status report on their reefs; (80% decline!) I havent read
the report yet, or who/what they say the cause is;

Oh, come on...that's just the Earth insuring the Hawaii stays above the

Do you think there is *anything* that isn't a *potential* problem?

Your style of argument betrays an agenda. It wants to look like
Socratic teaching, but it isn't.

>If so, why?

Because **everything** is a "potential" problem.

AGW is nothing special in that regard.

You are trying to make points with a tautology.

Some might suspect that you have applauded after children performed
acts of thespianism with adults ... in public!

>If not, why not?

It isn't a big problem. There are more important things to be
concerned about.

**Well, of course, there are lots of potential problems, in many areas
of life. However, global warming is a problem, right now and may prove
to be a very, very serious problem for the entire planet in the future,
if nothing is done now.

that we tend to live with the immediate consequences, whilst ignoring
the very real long term catastrophe.

**No. I am dealing with a bunch of very stupid people. I am attempting

Odd, I've not seen any difference in the last 50 years.

Must not be much of a problem.

LOL.

Look it up.

You never watched child-actors in a theater?

It's based on a famous speech:

We apparently found an Aussie who didn't know what thespianism means.

Or "tautology," it would seem.

Really? You looked at the numbers.......I'm going to need to see your
creditable in order to establish that you're an expert capable of making
such a determination.

**Sure. One thing: What is my "creditable" that you want to see? My
"creditable" is not something I can see, touch or feel. It would be
difficult for you to see my "creditable":

**Oh, absolutely. Now, I perceive from your writing that you appear to

make basic scientific and logical errors regularly.

So, yes, I am dealing with a bunch of very stupid people.

It's worse than that.

One possibility is you lied above when you said, "No."

Another possibility is you are displaying ignorance now.

Another possibility is you are doubling down on your denial that you
were trying to make points with a tautology.

Let's restore some context:

Now let's try to educate you with a definition, if you weren't lying:

<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tautology_(logic)>
In logic, a tautology ... is a formula or assertion that is true in
every possible interpretation.

Let's return to your bait: "Do you think it is a potential problem?"

If *everything* is a "potential" problem, then the answer to your
"question" has to be be "yes," regardless whether "it" is AGW or
winning a million dollars.

So you were trying to lead into a non sequitur with a question for
which a "no" answer was not an option.

The alarmist camp is full of smarmy weasels.
