As I said: for an elementary school level you are close enough, but both
orbit the barycenter of the solar system.

That spot is often but not always even IN the area of the sun:

Yet, the *Earth* still orbits the *Sun*.
The barycenter of the Earth/Sun pairing is almost dead center of the Sun, so
the Sun doesn't orbit that barycenter.

They see SUVs, they want them, a dealer may convince them to pull the trigger.
The size of the corporation doesn't matter.

Corporations push the narrative you buy into that leads to socializing the
costs of those SUVs. How many people would buy them if the cost of the
carbon was built into the gas tax?

The sun, as with the planets, orbits the barycenter.

The shared mass is causing the Sun to wobble.
I get it just fine.
I posted I get how gravitational disturbance is one way they find exoplanets.
The Earth still orbits the Sun.

If you want to think the wobble is an orbit, go ahead.
It's an effect of the orbit.
It wobbles from the other planets too.
It doesn't follow a different path for each, independently.
It's wobbling.

You read kiddie NASA sites?
They send stuff to the wrong planet cause metric and standard confuses them.
They're being replaced by private companies.

Posters and models will be their future. :)

Well, many in our government are so ignorant of science they deny man-made
global climate change... of course we are struggling because of it.

Yeah, even that's incorrect.
There isn't *one* barycenter, so there is no *this barycenter*.
It is different for each object.
These are math equations that describe planetary motions.
All the planets *still* orbit the Sun.

Imagine God gets a bug up his butt, and just poofs the Sun out of existance.
Will the planets still orbit these barycenters?

That is a different topic... you have two different incorrect claims:

   Sprang:
    -----
The Sun wobbling isn't an orbit.
    -----

Which we know is not true:

  NASA <https://spaceplace.nasa.gov/barycenter>:
    -----
The sun, Earth, and all of the planets in the solar system
    orbit around this barycenter.
    -----

And then also:

  Sprang:
    -----
Well, actually, Sprang insist the Earth orbits the Sun.
    -----

Which is shown to be wrong by the same NASA quote. So you have made claims
which are baseless and contrary to well established science. Fair enough.
Now the question is what you want to do with the knowledge you have been
shown. Deny it? Accept it? Continue to insist you are right even in the
absence of any support?

I suspect the latter.

What you CERTAINLY will not do is show any support. That is a given.

You can speak of the barycenter between two objects, but to understand the
movement of the sun (and, really, even other objects in the solar system)
you should understand (extended quote from the same link):
    -----
Our entire solar system also has a barycenter. The sun, Earth,
and all of the planets in the solar system orbit around this
barycenter. It is the center of mass of every object in the
    solar system combined.
    -----

> Imagine God gets a bug up his butt, and just poofs the Sun out of existance.
> Will the planets still orbit these barycenters?

Their movement would be enough to have them not orbit each other... much as
the moon is slowly drifting away from the Earth (by about 4 cm a year) and
some day will not orbit it. It does not mean we cannot calculate the
barycenter of the two right now!

You started the topic, look at your initial statement.

You don't think the Earth orbits the Sun...LOL.

The Earth orbits the Sun.
The Sun orbits the Galactic Center.

The barycenter is the measured center of gravitational mass of the
Solar System.
That fluctuates wildly, but is within the Sun's radius almost always.
As the planets orbital direction changes, so does the vector of
barycenter.

If one was to track the *Sun's orbit* around the Galactic Center,
these perturbations in the Sun's orbit would appear as a wobble,
less than the radius of the Sun.

The Sun is not orbiting itself... :)

See above for the explanation.
The barycenter is the *defined* center of mass between objects.
It is not an actual object the Earth is orbiting, nor does that defined
point exert any gravitation force.

THE *EARTH* ORBITS THE *SUN*.

A good simplification for elementary students. Sure.

Of course not: as you have been told (and shown) the sun orbits the
barycenter of the solar system, just like the earth and other planets (and
more)... though of course things like the the moon and Earth also orbit
their own barycenter.

The Sun's orbit around the Galactic Center takes 220+ million years.

Stop replying to the lying imbecile

Snit Michael Glasser simply wants to set up a new "Snit circus", and you
have fallen for it

He does not care that the barycenter of the whole solar system lies within
the sun, and so all planets orbit the sun no matter how much he tries to
twist the reality

Even if Jupiter would circle the sun at Mercuries orbit, the barycenter of
those two most massive objects of the solar system still lies *way* inside
the sun

Stop replying to that dishonest twit. He is wrong, and will stay wrong as
long as there are new suns born

Those who troll COLA have done a better job ending their trolling and
obsessing over me than expected, but I still do not expect it to last. I
hope it does. Maybe they will prove me wrong.

Personal attacks from those who troll show their own insecurity. They cannot
use reason to show the message to be wrong so they try to feel somehow
superior by attacking the messenger.

They cling to their attacks and ignore the message time and time again.
