These paints stirred together give some kind of brown. But that was not the point. You wrote, that it takes yellow and blue paint, to create green. But there are substance, that have a green colour, but neither blue or yellow in it. Your error is, that you use features of the human eyes (three types of colour-receptors) and ascribe them to the objects seen. This is wrong, since seeing and objects seen are different things. So: colour is an impression of the human brain about the objects. And mixing blue particles with with yellow ones can look similar to green particles. But looking similar does not say, they are similar. TH

there is only rhodopsin for nightvision; the rods & cones are alike conformed as log-spiral antennae, and that goes perfectly well with the studies of Edward lanD > Your error is, that you use features of the human eyes (three types of > colour-receptors) and ascribe them to the objects seen. > > This is wrong, since seeing and objects seen are different things. > > So: colour is an impression of the human brain about the objects. > > And mixing blue particles with with yellow ones can look similar to > green particles. I would say: possibly, but not necessarily. If an object reflects pure green light, we would see this object as green. Since the colour is pure green, we have no yellow or blue in it. TH

Since you're posting from the 'science fiction community'... i guess i need to use sf lingo.. Edgar Rice Burroughs wrote a Mars book which contained comments that 'on Mars there are two more primary colors than on Earth' maybe that would help.. but i doubt it. like Heinlein said about base_three; actually, I suppose that base_three logarythms would be ideal in most respects, but if you are talking about volors, you only have to study "the apparent trichromacy of vision of Ed lanD, whence you will see that some of the colors are not visible as simple sine-waves. hey, you could use a.p's semicircular waves, if you have to restrict the form to the plae, since a.p can do no math, what so ever > > But the point is that one can obtain absurd results if one conflates different > > sets of primaries. > > > > John Savard > > > Edgar Rice Burroughs wrote a Mars book which contained comments > that 'on Mars there are two more primary colors than on Earth'

Get rid of all the white people...and you're free of racism. maybe build an atomic bomb that kills only white people... not japaneese people, white people...the white devils.. the lighter than blue people.. not the dark people...the light people. Racism is A Disease of White People. --Albert Einstein The smartest guy in the world knows what the fuck he's talking about, don't he? He built the bomb to kill German people, what color were they??? Wrong. That's *a* real Political Correctness. Another is the one I pointed out to you. People who recognise the one and posture over the other are hypocrites, not worth shitting on. ----prejudicial bullshit snipped----

Let me make something clear to everyone once and for all... Albert Einstein 'did not' make disparaging remarks about his own ethnicity here because Albert Winstein is not White, he's Jewish! Albert Einstein belongs to the Jewish Race, not the White Race. for further information: In May 1987 the United States Supreme Court handed down its decision that Jews are a "race" for purposes of the Civil Rights Act of 1866. Shaare Tefila Congregation v. Cobb, 481 U.S. 615, 617-18 (1987) and here is a conversation plus the video: Here's a transcript from 60 minutes where you can read Mike Wallace saying he's Jewish, not White: (BEGIN VIDEOTAPE) MIKE WALLACE, CBS`s "60 MINUTES": Black History Month, you find... MORGAN FREEMAN, ACTOR: Ridiculous. WALLACE: Why? FREEMAN: You`re going to relegate my history to a month? WALLACE: Come on. FREEMAN: What do you do with yours? Which month is White History Month? Come on, tell me. WALLACE: I`m Jewish. FREEMAN: OK. Which month is Jewish History Month? WALLACE: There isn`t one. FREEMAN: Why not? Do you want one? WALLACE: No, no. FREEMAN: I don`t either. I don`t want a Black History Month. Black history is American history. WALLACE: How are we going to get rid of racism until...? FREEMAN: Stop talking about it. I`m going to stop calling you a white man. And I`m going to ask you to stop calling me a black man. I know you as Mike Wallace. You know me as Morgan Freeman. You`re not going to say, "I know this white guy named Mike Wallace." Hear what I`m saying? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FRnTovm26I4 So, when Albert Einstein Called Racism "A Disease of White People"...he was talking about White people, not himself cause he knows that he is not White, he is Jewish, of the Jewish race..not of the White or Black race. I hope that helps. The Starmaker
