single photons find both slits is because they travel in pairs!

the photons "collide" the collisions produce a stream of God particles!

Abstract
I give a brief review of the history of photon-photon physics
and a survey of its potential at future electron-positron colliders.
Exclusive hadron production processes in photon-photon
and electron-photon collisions provide important tests of QCD
at the amplitude level,
particularly as measures of hadron distribution amplitudes.

There are also important high energy γγ and eγ tests of quantum
chromodynamics, including the production of jets in photon-photon
collisions, deeply virtual Compton scattering on a photon target,
and leading-twist single-spin asymmetries for a photon
polarized normal to a production plane.

A single photon cannot convert into particles (being particles that do 
not move at the speed of light), because it's impossible for both energy 
and momentum to be conserved.

I'm glad that we've now settled that pair production is impossible. I 
think I smell NOBEL!!!!!

You are right in that it can't occur in empty space but requires a field 
be present. Nevertheless a single photon does convert into two particles 
and photons are NOT "colliding".

Two photons with a wave connecting them imperial thinkers call a "Single Photon" This is proven by the two slit experiment. I can even see a billion photons going through a tiny quantum hole at once. Trebert
