But for the *vast* majority of people, cars are an appliance for getting from one point to another, period, and they have absolutely no interest in them beyond that utility. Likewise, there are experts in electrical power and love tinkering with load balancing and battery storage and solar panels, and there are people who do that for a living. But for the *vast* majority of people, all that matters is the ability to plug something into an outlet and flip a switch and have it work. You'll note that the people who are experts in computers rarely are also interested in how cars work or how electrical distribution works; the people who are experts in electrical distribution are usually uninterested in how computers work or how cars work. The people who are experts in how cars work couldn't care less about how electrical distribution works or how computers work.
