And here we were told that stars are
eaten by black holes and nothing ever
comes out. I wonder where those jets
of high-energy particles end up?
Maybe they go to where new stars
are forming?

John, I have no idea who told you that. I just saw a Cosmos episode 
where Neil deGrasse Tyson said "Black holes are not star-swallowing 
monsters that grab everything around them."

So do you remember where you were told that stars are eaten by black 
holes and nothing ever leaves the vicinity of black holes? Or do you 
only vaguely remember that you might have been told that somewhere?

Relativistic jets 'wind up' wherever the physical processes that govern the universe take them.

You have a difficult time understanding this because you have neither the education, training,  nor dedication to fully follow up on your own question.

I will add, however, that some of these jets can and do cause star formation. Others do not. Again, the physics of the universe determine what will happen.

That's right John. H&V believes that wherever his atheist god wills 
relativistic jets to go, that is where they must go. Science is religion 
to HVAC.

The jets are created by the accretion disks, which are outside the black
hole.  Since the matter was never "inside" the black hole, it is not
a contradiction that they come "from" a black hole (not quite).
Where do the jets end up? Depends on where they happen to be aimed.  Maybe
into interstellar space and nothing happens.  If they happened to be
directed at a gas cloud, maybe they will trigger star formation in the
cloud.  Lots of things seem to trigger star formation in gas clouds.
Supernovae, motion of other stars, compression (as when a cloud moves
into a galactic arm), black hole jets striking the cloud, etc.
