I had someone come out and trim the trees back, especially over my roof.
I want to trim some of the brush back behind my house, but it's pretty
steep. It's the stuff in front of the house on the other side of the
road that worries me. If there was a fire, it would most likely come up
that hill, but I don't own the property on that side.

I'm thinking once I get the last two windows in, I might go ahead and
install Hardie Board myself. The contractor I talked to wants too much
money, and it's easier work than the stuff I've already done myself.

That's also a good idea. Anything to retard a fire should one occur.

They occur too damned often, but they get the water choppers in the air
pretty quickly.

A lot of them are flying boats (Canadair CL-215 and 415) so they can fly
off the big lakes. The ones that aren't boats need pretty long runways -
over 6000 ft like fsj - because they're huge airliners like DC-10s.

there's one small jet that comes here sometimes ,
it evacted me to pg to see a doctor and stay for about 10 days ,
they sent me in a jet cause the road washed away in the rain ,
then i couldn't get home because there was no road and ,
on the night they kicked me out they opened one lane ,
very lucky i hate paying for a motel if i'm not going to get laid
