After reading Mary Beth Pfeiffer's engrossing new book, Lyme, you will
probably want to kill any tick you can find, donate to Lyme research,
and find out if you are at risk for tick-borne diseases. Spoiler alert:
Your risk is likely increasing.

so these ticks, which currently survive -10 F to +120 F, are going to
rage into a breeding f*ck-fest, and spread all over the earth, if the
long term average temperature goes up 0.1 F ?

I was going to turn over my spice garden and plant some spices but it
rained all day so I didn't.

Doesn't take much. I have a moss patch that I want to clear anyway. I
dumped a mess of lime on it last summer so the soil underneath ought to
be good. The worms are already working it so I'll scrape off the moss
and turn it over with some compost. Basil, garlic, rosemary and oregano
and some lavender too. Maybe peppers but I haven't decided what kind.
I'll see what the farm puts out in starter pots.

The only $ I keep in the bank is monthly bill paying cash. The rest is
elsewhere.

Me too, only yard was covered with snow from global warming. Luckily for
ticks it only got to freezing (which idiot journalists think kills them)
not to -11 F which actually does kill them.

Or you can encourage possums...as they eat tons of ticks.

https://www.hunker.com/13425595/how-to-attract-a-possum-to-my-yard

Do one or the other, but not both.

Some house keeping an active countermeasure and you can largely eliminate
ticks from your yard.

Of course, I've yet to see that a 0.1C temperature difference is really
going to make any difference.

A degree or two in temperature isn't going to set off a tick pandemic,
shithead. You climate alarmists have killed your argument by blaming
everything in sight for climate change.

You're missing the acorn-beechnut-pignut-mouse-deer-fox-coyote-tick

It got too hot here for the mooses. The pond they have breakfast in
dried up in the drought and the ticks, mosquitoes and greenheads ate 'em
alive and they couldn't keep cool in the heat without water so they got
sick and died or went north.
