Yes, being a twenty-first century man will require nerves of steel.  Still, think of the benefits:  You won't need a driver's license, you won't have to worry about how to get to your destination, and you will probably be allowed to chug as much Bud Light as you like, sitting in the back seat of the car!

That $1,000 fine is just for having an empty Bud can in the car.

A DUI with no injuries starts at about $3,000, jail time, an alcohol
treatment program (about $500), loss of license for at least
30 days, a driving restriction of 2 to 5 months for driving to/from
work or the treatment program.

That's for the first conviction and it gets worse on subsequent convictions,
injury or death, or a blood level over 0.15%.

Because of the issues of legal liability it will never happen unless
the "robot" driving the vehicle is Mr. Data.

10 mpg?  I'll bet it has a huge tank too!  I couldn't afford the first fill up!  I thought my old Mercury Cougar was bad getting 12 mpg.  It had a 27 gallon tank.  Had to fill it up every 3 days because of the distance I drove to work.

AA Van gets 16mpg on highways.Its city driving(stop and go)its 10mpg. I save big$$$$ doing my own work on cars.Even change my own oil. I hate Arco,but they are everywhere in Anaheim.Bert

Do us all a favor Herb and stop using oil! Take that Van of yours that 
won't pass Kalifornia pollution standards to a junk yard get your $100 
for it and go buy some Bud. Walk everywhere you go and Sam will thank
