Oil and gas were created in the great flood. That's because of porphyrins and isotope ratios prove that hydrocarbons and the sediments that trap them were all created in a very short time, geologically speaking, by plants and animals being drowned in anoxic sediments and turning into coal, oil and gas. Koan: JOSHU INSPECTS A LAGOON.
Joshu was playing fetch with a dog, tossing a glass ball that was one with sand
of the beach. The dog misstepped and fell into a stagnant lagoon and drowned. It
settled into the sandy bottom and became an oil puddle. Joshu said the lagoon
had angry dog-nature. At that moment the dog was enlightenned.
Noman's commentary:
When you have an oil derrick on your back, your life
has gone to the dogs.
A haiku on oil
is a slippery thing to write.

Those numbers are what he came up with at the end of administering three different IQ tests. I found them very interesting. I have fond memories of one question in particular that tests memory efficiency. He read off a list of ten numbers and asked me to repeat in order as many as I could remember. I repeated them all back in order and correctly. He looked surprised and then upped the anti to fifteen numbers. I repeated them all back and in order. He shook his head and upped the anti to 20 and then to 30 and then to 40 and then to fifty. I repeated them all back in order and correctly. He said it wasn't possible and that I must be some kinda savant. I said, not necessarily as instead of remembering fifty numbers, I just remembered five groups of ten as I had no trouble remembering groups of 10. Mind over matter. A clear-thinking mind is a thing of beauty and that is why I make such a fuss when the likes of Skeeter and Checky ruin theirs with drugs. -- Yours Truly, Gregory Hall If a woman stumbles upon a fact that is opposed to her intuition she will tend to reject it outright and, even if the evidence is overwhelming, she will refuse to believe it.
