I have an external HP monitor. I turn it off and it turns off. Turn it on and it turns on. Still, the built in monitor cannot be shut off... so I have a hot corner for putting the displays to sleep. No random mouse movement wakes it up (why would it)? Also can script, if I want, to have the monitor be woken up by script with built in "caffeinate" command. -- Personal attacks from those who troll show their own insecurity. This is handy when I walk into the room and am doing other things: just hit the space bar or the enter key on the number pad or whatever else and it wakes as I do other stuff. The built in monitor is very fast to wake but the secondary one is a cheap one that takes longer. -- Personal attacks from those who troll show their own insecurity.
