There's a fully developed tennis topspin and a simpler goofy topspin. The fully developed tennis topspin uses a slower stroke than natural but begins the stoke sooner. Then the stroke first pushes the ball forward and than adds topspin simply with the follow-through. Also, this slower stroke makes it possible to get anything on the racket and under control and that's like when slice is being hit to the player. The simpler goofy tennis topspin is just a fast snapping stroke with as much upward motion as forward motion.
