Son, "GO" underwater is (mostly - it can turn ugly) no big deal. *LIVE* underwater, on the other hand, is fraught with difficulties for every human I've ever heard of. If you know so little that you don't see even the most obvious of them, you clearly don't know enough about the subject to be trying to talk about how trivial it is. I'll grant that, with enough expenditure of time, effort, and resources, it *IS* possible to do. However, so far, I haven't heard of more than prototype-level attempts, and none of those have lasted long enough to call them a viable alternative to land-based living. VERY not-trivial, dude... Hell, I doubt he has any idea what depth an underwater habitat would have to be at to avoid being pounded into rubble by wave action. And even less idea what kind of pressure such a habitat would have to withstand. Never mind how much decompression time would be needed for a "quick trip to the nearest store". If you are in a closed habitat, there is no reason to have any internal pressure other than atmospheric. The pressure outside of a closed, underwater container has nothing to do with the pressure inside.
