The question is:
Was He right or not,
 and if not, why?

the problem is applying the morals and thought of today in judge the past.

Judgement out of context, but that is commonly used by journalists to
sell stories.

One must remember in the USA in the 1950's China was considered very bad
for several reasons.

Not the least of which was Mao setting Guinness world records for
murdering your own citizens and his starvation of millions more later
through his wet dream "cultural revolution" that attempted to forcibly
set up Baby Nad's worker's paradise in China before Nordic states got a
chance to try. I mean what's not to love in a culture like that?

No surprise...

Albert Einstein didn't like Germans..he built an atomic bomb to kill them all..

and he didn't like ...chinks either, he would've bomb them also..

and he certaintly didn't like Americans...

but Albert Einstein was Jewish..you know how 'those people' are, they don't like anybody.
