Over the years I have read and reread a couple of biographies of Einstein, while also reading literature.  After that, last decade I have been studying economics.  From what I can remember, Einstein was honest and lazy.  He struggled to graduate in physics, and could not find a position to pursue advanced studies in physics.

I feel great empathy for Einstein, for what I remember about him, are the characteristics I share with him.  However, Einstein triumphed working on his own, without the support of the science community.  How many scientists have failed, due to lack of support from the scientific community?

Einstein, in my opinion, is a unique man, and one of the greatest scientists that ever lived.  His potential was not appreciated by professors, until he developed SR and published other research papers on his own.

What can be done to ensure that future Einstein's don't slip through the cracks?

It is a difficult question. I think a better way of asking the question
is: What can be done to provide all students with the education to
help them reach their full potential?

We all benefit if all students achieve their potential.
The next greatest in Physics, Medicine, Economics, Agriculture,
aerospace engineering, psychology, education, and so many
other fields await in our schools now if we are willing to help.
