In Wormley physics earth is absorbing "enormous" energy but temperature
is not going up! Oh well, maybe it will warm centuries later! Sam knows
a lot about science!

If the net energy imbalance of the Earth were 0.5 W/m^2 it would be 15 MJ per square meter per year. 15 MJ of "imbalance" would do a lot more than warm the surface by some tiny fraction of a degree. Of course, you want to say something else. But you don't understand it well enough to explain what it is. You got that number off some web site where you looked at the words but did not comprehend them. And you won't comprehend them. Your activity here is not one that involves comprehension.
