Exactly correct. Before one assumes the universe to be flat, one FIRST
needs to employ instruments sensitive enough to detect deviations from
180 degrees for the sum of the angles of a triangle on the surface of a
hypersphere of say 500 million light years in diameter.
How one would do that would be an interesting discussion of experimental
physics.

Very difficult to explain the big bang to close minded, anti science types like BJ. He is stuck on stupid and is satisfied believing that god did it and wants to search no further. His life has become that of a shut-in. He has no wife nor girlfriend...No kids. Just his kooky beliefs in the paranormal. But I don't hate people like him. I pity the fools. They are blind to the wonder of the physical universe and all the secrets it still holds

Just pity Heating and Ventilation. He has no life anymore. His sole
pleasure is his fantasies as he makes up lives for other people and
himself. His only excitement comes when he imagines himself chasing
underage foreign girls to try to get it up again. He is scared to even
use his own name. He is so embarrassed that he has no education in
science yet gets off on hanging in the science group pretending to be
some big scientist. He's just one more Glazier dreamer. All he cares
about are personalities and pumping his own minuscule ego up a little
more. So SAD.
As for me being a shut-in... I WISH! I'm getting a little tired of
constantly having to deal with all the idiots and incompetence you find
in the world today and wasting my time on HVAC's ignorance and fantasy
life isn't helping at all.
