People survived for tens of thousands of years without electricity of
any kind, on demand running water, central heat, air conditioning,
refrigeration, motors of any kind, antibiotics, pain relievers,
and a whole lot more; just not very well or for very long, ass hat.

Just another Sammy "green" fantasy. Did Sam ever try to get by on pure 
solar power? Well I HAVE!  In preparation for Y2K and just as an 
interesting experiment, I set up a solar system in my house. As a test 
it was several hundred bucks (not including battery) and charging rate 
during day was lucky to reach an amp. Basically it let you watch some TV 
(to get news of the vast destruction across the country) and have a few 
LED lights at night.  You were NOT going to wash clothes, run a furnace 
blower, or sump pump with this unless the system was expanded to 
enormous expense. Simply not practical to use to "live". A system scaled 
big enough to run your house would be exorbitantly expensive.

A nice fossil fuel generator on the other hand was a winner. Spewing CO2 
and nasty chemicals, it would run any major appliance in the house, so 
long as you could feed it fuel. And it could easily be converted from 
gasoline to natural gas which would make it even more useful except in 
the direst of emergencies.

You see, Wally, the problem with Greens like Sammy is they are only 
"idea men". They don't do "quantity". They let the technical nerds 
figure that out once they have provided the great brilliant ideas of how 
to "save" everybody!

The Bottom line is that solar power is indeed great IF you are building 
a massive dam to use it or your house is on the top of some mountain and 
you'd like to watch TV. But as a "savior" of mankind from those horrid 
"carbon footprints"? Well that is clearly nothing but pure unmitigated 
fantasy and bunk. Wormley needs to take his "ideas" back to the outhouse 
where he found them.

PS. And did I mention? The low charging rate eventually ruined my 
expensive boat trolling battery. Greens don't worry about details like 
that. That's "technical" details!

statements; I only got one.

I did get some negative reactions when I laughed at people who thought

I had a guy (Reminded me of BJ) who told me that I wouldn't be able to 
make my coffee on the morning of Jan. 1, 2000. I asked him why and he 
told me that my coffeemaker wouldn't know what time it was. I told him I 
had a cheap ass coffeemaker with no clock. He then changed the subject
