The fourth dimension is a coordinate system identification. Any attempt to add more and more parameters just adds detail to the coordinate system ID. For instance, the star locations in the night sky depend on the time. So the time in that case is the coordinate system ID.

[posted & mailed] Sam Wormley spammed in sci.physics: > [the usual way] I have been very patient with you, but enough is enough. You have started no less than 13(!) threads with such "news" on 2016-06-12, from 02:45 to 20:46 inclusive (my timezone) here. Today I am counting 4 such postings already and it is just afternoon. First of all, as you have been told countless times before, learn to quote. The “>” character is _not_ to be used to mark quotations from sources outside the thread so as to leave no ambiguity. Second, you ought to tag any science "news" via the Subject header field accordingly (e.g. preceded by “[News]”), so that they can be filtered out when one is interested in the discussions that are going on here. Your unsolicited human gatewaying makes it almost impossible to find those discussions, yet *that* is what this newsgroup is about. IOW, you are interfering with the normal operation of this newsgroup, and you ought to stop doing that. This applies to other newsgroups, like sci.physics.relativity, as well. Continued failure on your part to adhere to the basic conventions of Netiquette laid out above will cause all your postings to be considered "news" and filtered out by default here. Rest assured that I/we do not need you to learn of them. Further, it is then being considered to report you for spamming with your service provider(s), which may result in the suspension or cancellation of your account(s) there due to violation of the providers’ Acceptable Use Policies. You have been warned. -- PointedEars Twitter: @PointedEars2 Please do not cc me. / Bitte keine Kopien per E-Mail.

Who are you to judge Sam Wormley`s posts as spam? And who do you think you are to be warning anyone in this new group. Arrogance is ignorance and I find that your judging and giving warnings very arrogant. I for one appreciate Sam`s posts. It is all the bickering in this new group that bothers me. You do not have to reply to any posts if you can not add any positive value to them. Andrew Vecsey

A newsgroup is not a clipping service. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Media_monitoring_service Read Sam's sig: sci.physics is an unmoderated newsgroup dedicated to the discussion of physics, news from the physics community, and physics-related social issues. Dropping a copy and paste of words written by others (without permission) and without one's own commentary is trolling. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_forum Forum trolls are users that repeatedly and deliberately breach the netiquette of an established online community, posting inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages to bait or excite users into responding Forum spamming is a breach of netiquette where users repeat the same word or phrase over and over, ... such as "climate change."

Sam is all right with me, PointedEars. He adds content for discussion to an otherwise dying group. He may not be perfect in his methods, but who among us is? Posters are not easily dumped off Usenet for spamming, unlike some other social media like Twitter! Double-A
