USENET news servers don't have moderators, you babbling idiot.

USENET news groups have moderators.

You still have no clue how USENET works.

Read the second paragraph as many times as it takes you to understand
how USENET works.

It is a long list and many charge for the service.
You should include in your information the following:
Which ones, other than "google groups", support and archive ALL the usenet news feeds?

You seem to have some problem with "Google" that you do not like. I am sure that you have good reason, after all no one is perfect and everyone has self interests. But you do not give any reasons for the main point of the topic you started...that is "to ditch google groups" which up to now provides a free service to carry and archive all usenet news feeds.

For me, what is important is that ALL usenet news feeds are supported and archived. USENET, by providing distributed servers without any central server or administrator, sounds a lot like the Bitcoin network...something that is trustable in a trusless environment...just by its totally 100% distributed nature.

All news servers DO archive; the difference is for how long.

Generally, I have no interest in anything posted more than a few weeks ago.

google aggragates personal information and sells it to 3rd parties

Google may "combine personal information from one service with
information, including personal information, from other Google services
-- such as combining search data with other data -- say, what videos
you're watching on YouTube -- it can learn more about you.

"If other users already have your email, or other information that
identifies you, we may show them your publicly visible Google Profile
information, such as your name and photo.

"We (Google) may share aggregated, non-personally identifiable
information publicly and with our partners -- like publishers,
advertisers or connected sites."

"When you use our services or view content provided by Google, we may
automatically collect and store certain information in server logs."

Google stores anything from Google Voice data (such as phone number,
calling party number, duration of calls) to device event information
(like crashes, system activity and browser type).

Google sells access to NSA, CIA, and many other organizations.

New default settings will allow Google to cross-reference a logged-in
user's activity among its vast and varied Internet presences, which
include the elegant Google search engine, the cool YouTube video
repository and the impressive inner workings of Android phones.

Google says it is initiating the changes for the good of the user.
Consumer advocates and privacy-protection groups don't see it that way.
They fear that Google is gathering too much personal information —
without a person's consent — and spreading it all over the place. Rep.
Ed Markey, D-Mass., who is co-chairman of the Congressional Privacy
Caucus, is quoted in The Boston Globe as saying: "The new Google privacy
policy is: You have no privacy."

They do that mostly via youtube and services connected
to youtube. Why can't we have a service like youtube
that's made by people themselves, like wikipedia?
Google is not doing anything but harassing youtubers
and benefiting from it. We need a non-profit video
service that has the useful features of youtube. This
way all leaches leave youtube and what's left is what
youtube's true value is.

There are tons of video sharing services out there
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_video_hosting_services for a
pretty decent list.

Video sharing means exactly that -- the content is produced by members.
