SubjectRobert Brout
Message-ID<1vnstxj9ga5oj$.p73jp6k2j1g.dlg@40tude.net>
Why there isn't a good bio on him?

I want to know:
  Did he marry?
  Was he of jewish background?
  Why exactly he left USA?
Why they waited till he dies then give the related
Nobel?
  Was he homo?
Was he the idea man or the math guy?
  Was he communist?
Did he live alone before dying?
Anything about his background, high school, parents?

Strange!

I read five or six of them closely and realized nobody
was giving a damn about my questions. Either too old
for them or too uninteresting. Well, that's not the
case with me.

And since, some of my questions are answered and some
aren't. I don't know why he left USA. I don't know if
he was a communist. I don't know why they gave Nobels
to several people who later used his theory (Weinberg,
Salam, Gerard 't Hooft) decades earlier, but waited
and waited until he died, then gave the Nobel in 2013
to the two others. And I know absolutely nothing about
his parents, high school, and his life before his
university education started.

Any fart in wikipedia has all these information
provided about him, why is it absent for this
interesting man?

Most of your questions are puerile.

Yes.

Of course nowhere does it say "he left because...", but the reason is
blazingly obvious.

And what is that? Who leaves his country just because
one coworker has interesting ideas in physics? Are you
kidding yourself?

I think the fact that nothing is said about his
parents and himself while he was in USA points to
possible abuses from government. Either towards his
parents or perhaps even himself. This could explain
belated Nobel as well.

At work whenever I'd encounter stupid samples who
wouldn't budge I offered a bet. I had many, not
countless, but many! free lunches and free drinks as a
result.

Do you want to bet? Provide me a source that confirms
he (or his parents) was or was not a communist and you
win. If you lose you must stay away from usenet for
two weeks. If you win I'll stay away from usenet for
two weeks. Chicken out of this and I'll plonk you. My
time is valuable for me.

the world where ever a paying gig will take him. and he has great fun at
it, he worked in many coutries, I think he is in Eurpoe now

why should a PhD be concerned about politics ?

Ergo No money - no physics, from CERN on down to him.

He had a nice job and a perfect career lined up for
him in USA when he left.

I thought somebody here could provide a few bits of
useful information. You don't have it, don't bother.
Go read fucking hvac.

There's a culprit there somewhere. Either FBI or
Englert himself. Anything we know about Brout has come
out of Englert's mouth. You search for Brout you get
Englert results. Put "Robert Brout" in youtube you
only get Englert results. So either it was him
sidelining Brout all his life, or FBI pressing him to
sideline Brout. I think this is interesting enough to
take a look at and requires the information whether
Brout was communist or not, so one could rule FBI out.
If Brout was not a communist then it's been Englert
all along behind it and he does look like someone
who'd do that (looks exactly like a mullah).

That is what search engines were invented for.

Why would anyone want to help someone too lazy to do their own basic
groundwork?

Who asked for your help? You're a known useless

anything in this matter. Don't make more of an ass of
yourself. This is not your area. Go back to your
