Reality; hundreds of years of research, thousand of text books, repeatable and reproducible experiments, i.e. facts. Can somebody help Mr. Peninno. He is sure he as seen thousands of instance that cofirmed the existence of gaseous H2O in the atmosphere. Surely, somebody must have seen something. Please help him before he blows a gasket.

And the reason is because it doesn't exist.
It is physically impossible.
There is no gaseous H2O in earth's atmosphere
Moist air is heavier than dry air
Moisture droplets--usually too small to be visible--are suspended by electrostatic forces
Convection plays no role at all, and if it did clouds would drop out of the sky like bricks
Storms pull moisture up high in the atmosphere
Moisture is intrinsic to storms
The principles involved have nothing to do with convection
Meteorologists have been lying to you--to all of us.
Now you know
I suggest you don't tell anybody. They tend to get real upset.

Here's what you need to learn, James: Evaporation from soil, oceans, plants and lakes results in a continuous supply of Water Vapor (gaseous H2O) in the earth's atmosphere. Water vapour (H2O) like Oxygen (O2) like Nitrogen (N2) is an invisible gas, so there is nothing to see. > Water vapour (H2O molecules) > Water vapor, water vapour or aqueous vapor, is the *gaseous phase* of > water. Due to the temperatures required, if our atmosphere actually contained gaseous H2O (steam) we'd all be dead already.
