*different* water molecules. Thus to break one of those water
molecules free (to evaporate it) only requires breaking one
inter-molecular H bond. Polarity is polarity, the electronegativity of
the second inter-molecular bond won't become stronger simply because
it can *only* achieve an electronegativity of 1+.

In fact, the H bonding gets *weaker* when one is knocked loose.

bond length. While water has an anomalously high boiling point, it
also has an anomalously high surface enthalpy. If you'll remember,
