which is why we cannot go to, or stay on Mars.

The moon is very difficult too, as one has to use water to slow down 
cosmic rays, using lead and metals as shields cause a secondary 
radiation inside.

Yes!
Copy the magnetic field of atoms, which
is a blended rotating/precessing field.
Put it in a vehicle with a circular profile-
either a disk or a cylinder.
Now you travel with protection.
