Within just four or five minutes of implosion the drone would detect all that gas reaching the surface, and fees of millions of dollars to various agencies would've been avoided. OceanGate now has to pay for that too cause it didn't see it wise enough to purchase a Walmart drone. This brings up too nice physics problems :) 1) How long does it take for an air bubble to travel 4.4 km from the bottom of the ocean at the Titanic spot to the top? 2) How wide would the surface diameter of the spread of the bubbles be?
