A supernova incident would scatter away a chunk of the corona, and also vaporize material from asteroids to planets fogging up the solar system. With 93 million miles of space to do it in. Even a 1% absorption or scattering would cause several degrees drop on Earth. Material from the Oort cloud would vaporize and follow a trajectory to the inner solar system due to the momentum it gained from intense x-rays. It will take a long time to clear.
