I admire your thriftiness.  If you're running Windows,
and you have a microphone on your headset,
you can convert your speech into text, instead of typing.

RightClick on the taskbar, 
beside where your open apps are listed,
and check "Show touch keyboard button".

The Keyboard icon should then appear
in your SystemTray, by the Wi-Fi icon. 

Click the icon, then click on the microphone that comes up.
