> Do you believe in free will?

What is it, the uncaused cause ?

> Many scientists claim that free will is an illusion.
> But then how do we make moral judgements, and find meaning in life?

All of history, every lesson ever, every advance, tells me:

  Randomness is ignorance, nothing more.

Everyone, from the serial killer to his executer, slave and master,
are best viewed under this light (SuperDeterminism), instead of
assuming "free will" ("the uncaused cause"), à la Christianity.

SuperDeterminism was useful to Einstein, and to me;
it is _ not useful to The Pope.

We call ourselves "consumers" and the GDP measures our progress.
We're "robot aliens" ( consumption machines ), exploiting a niche,
(poorly) programmed by nature to take a LessBad "option".

> “Give me freedom, or give me death”

Give me better "choices", then I'll be rich.

If we don't want bums, illegal aliens and junkies hanging around,
then we have to enforce the current regulations ( and/or increase them );
and that means more taxes and less liberty. The "choice" would be:
  -- Work your ass off ( to pay the taxes ) and conform.
  -- Hard labor in a "gulag" and/or torture in a "ReEducation camp".
