The "sudden change of direction"...is not a "sudden change of direction", but a 'sudden change of einstein's mind'.



The "sudden change of direction" is simply Einsteins way of differentiation. 


In other words..he simply took somebodies idea and added "sudden change of direction" to simply create...differentiation!
