You would have an "idea" if you didn't depend on 'other peoples ideas'...

especially from doomsayers like stephen hawking.

Fo example, where did you get the idea that..

Like you wrote...you had no idea, you are getting ideas from others.

Where did Einstein get his ideas from?? Certaintly not from observations and experiments...

Ideas do not come from observations and experiments...science is ideas *without* observations and experiments.
